Pumpkin Carving
Another annual event. Pumpkin Carving. Eating of pumpkin soup. Toasting of pumpkin seeds. Throwing of pumpkin guts. Lighting of pumpkins carved. Pumpkin pie! I forgot the pumpkin pie this year. Oh well. Next year. We missed you Marie-Claude and Maxime.
Here we have pumpkin head Felix with Uncle Lewis.
This pumpkin carver won "most delicate" carving. She also won "took the longest" and "took way longer that everyone else" I will post a pic of the finished pumpkin when I get Tammy's pictures. It really was something to see.
And this is how we started infusing the holiday season into our happy little home.
Pumpkin Patch Photo Shoot
Every year for the past ? years we make a point of going to Mitchell Farm and take a bunch of photos of the Fam. I find it a great way of documenting growth, getting some great pics to scrap and also get outside and enjoy what Autumn has to offer. We missed Marie-Claude, Lewis and Maxime this year. Damon and Steph tried to partake in the event but little Walker would have none of it. Next year we will all be together again. When I get Tammy's pics I will post more pumpkin patch pictures, she always gets better shots that me.
Get ready to catch up.....
I know, I know, it has been over two months. I have been busy, haven't you?
I am just going to say that school started out well for both the girls and leave September at that.
October was beautiful here in Victoria. The nicest October weather in the 8 years we have been here.
OCTOBER
Thanksgiving dinner was small and quiet this year. It was kind of sad and I missed our typical 12-20 gang but also appreciated the "no pressure to impress" atmosphere created by three single men.
Our annual pumpkin patch photo shoot was beautiful. I didn't get as many good shots as I have in the past years but I still have hope in the form of Tammy's camera.
Our annual pumpkin carving party was as fun as always and kicked off the winter festive feeling in me.
That was until the flu hit our home on the 29th. I do not feel too festive any more. But it appears that we are out of the thick of it now and I am looking forward to November.
We did almost nothing on the renovation this month and by "we" I mean "Sean and I." Lewis on the other hand has been a machine. He impresses me everyday with not only by the amount of work he does in a day but also the beauty of his work.
Pictures on each of these subjects are comming very soon. I hope.

I Just Love the Names They Use for Nail Polish.
A little more than a year ago Tammy's Mom bought Tammy and I a gift certificate to a Spa, yesterday we finally got around to actually going and getting ourselves pampered. We both had a relaxing massage and a beautiful pedicure. Tammy choose "The Devil Inside" for her polish colour and I choose "Drop Dead Gorgeous" Afterwards we spent some time at Chapters and then enjoyed a lovely lunch at a place called Peacock's. I had never been there before but know that I will go back again. All in all it was a great way to spend some time with my Best Friend.
Pictures for MArie-Claude and Maxime.
Here are some progress shots for you two ladies. The whole place is almost ready for primer, floors, and trim.

I hope you are both having a great summer so far.
Victoria is having the greatest summer weather since I moved here 8 years ago.
Xana and Lexi will be back home in a couple days. I am excited. I miss them.
I miss you both too. 158 days till you come home. (based on a return date of January 6th)
Lots of Love....Leila.
